I frequent a community playing ground near where I live. Most of the time I've seen women either taking a walk by themselves or with their partners or playing with their kids. Whereas men are seen playing with others or simply sitting on their own and observing others or just taking a nap. I myself don't loiter around in public spaces much for many reasons - feel unsafe, been programmed to get out only for work or to meet someone. When I find myself with no agenda in a public space I feel anxious and will call someone or scroll on my phone or just go sit inside the nearest cafe.

Ever since this came to my notice I realised a majority of women in India don't loiter around much. And much to my disappointment, I too am one of them. Is it just me who feels like this or there are others out there too?
