My first retail job was a part-time associate at a local shoe store.
In my early twenties, I snagged my first leadership role. I remained in leadership for the next 10+ years. (Retail/Financial Services industry)
I started my business while working full-time with a laptop and a cell phone + a vision saying: “I want to be able to work from anywhere in the world as long as I have an internet connection as well as a phone.”
I added school to the mix to finally complete my undergraduate degree requirements.
I published a couple of books.
I “retired” from leadership; snagged an individual contributor seat making more $ with fewer responsibilities. #WontHeDoIt
I was a College and Career Readiness Adjunct Professor for 2 years. (3rd industry)
I created online career courses and published another book.
Oh, and I was creating content for workshops, my blog and my podcast over the years as well.
I worked when I wasn’t working full-time; before work, during my lunch break, after work and on the weekends.
