Despite making great strides in our outward empowerment and self-sufficiency, so many of us feel incomplete without a romantic partner.

Understanding love–what it is and what gets in the way of finding it–has led me down many a curious path.

The truth is that we’re not lacking or incomplete in any way, whether we have a romantic partner or not, but it might require a fair bit of work to embody that inner freedom.
