Professional Development Is Now Personal

I shared a blog this week on how the shifting work landscape creates new opportunities for learning and growth. I think it struck a chord because it was our (Topknot's) most ever opened and clicked-through newsletter yet! 2+ years into writing newsletters, I will take the huge win.

I'd love to hear what you think.

Thanks for sharing, great post! I honestly think that professional is and has always been personal dev and vice versa, like the two coexist and have an impact on one another!
At it's best, I totally agree.
True, it's been the case for me but I recognise it is not the case for everyone. How have you merged the two in your life?
I'm very fortunate to have loads of support. If I am using broad strokes, then I'd say therapy is more personal and executive coaching is more professional and Topknot is the thing in-between. I think the major difference between now and when I first started in the workforce is that I thought it was totally necessary to remove any personal stuff from work. I see it as an asset now to acknowledge what else I am bringing in.
"when I first started in the workforce is that I thought it was totally necessary to remove any personal stuff from work" --> totally a sign of weakness and/or the two could not coexist, it's BS! Whatever is happening personally might affect you at work/in the professional setting!
