I try to say yes to as many networking calls as I can, especially in situations where I feel like I have expertise:

• teachers transitioning from the classroom
• people trying to break in VC
• early stage founders

I often am asked to share my story, and as much as I love to do so, I don't think it's super helpful. It's just too hard for someone to hear my story and make it their own.

Helping people sensemake, explore their own thoughts, and trust themselves is what we do at Topknot. I recently wrote a blog channeling learnings from our members who are using Topknot as a space to make sense of their own career changes.
